Since the Mycelium's conception, we have regularly come together for Gatherings and Community Living Experiments - with those who are committed to moving towards living together and those who are exploring. At Gatherings we experiment with what it takes to move towards an interdependent way of living even if we are still not all physically together and make decisions about next steps together. In our Community Living Experiments we experiment with different aspects of co-creating a culture that is rooted in nonviolence and liberation. Sometimes we do both at the same time. Both Gatherings and Community Living Experiments are key elements of developing NGL communities and the Mycelium.
Due to the experimental nature of what we do, we write Gathering and Community Living Reports to share our insights and learnings. These Gatherings and Community Living Experiments are a fertile ground where new principles are identified, systems are created and we feed these back to NGL online and other NGL communities. For example, the process of Impact Digestion and Sharing has been developed over years of community living experiments, and is now being integrated into NGL Online, is a new offering to the world beyond NGL Online, and is a baseline component of any NGL Community.
We invite you to browse our Gathering and Community Living reports to get a glimpse into what life in an NGL community could be like, and to see how engaging in living together within the NGL framework can lead to deeper integration of nonviolence into our way of life.
